RIE Real Time Insight Engine ("RIE", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by RIE ("Company"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our platform, including our website and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Account & Business Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, business name, property location, and WhatsApp business number.
Guest Data: Hotel operators input guest names, phone numbers, room numbers, and stay dates. This data is stored securely and is accessible only to the hotel account that entered it.
Feedback Data: Guest satisfaction ratings, feedback text, NPS scores, and optional eco-sustainability ratings submitted through our feedback portal are stored and associated with the respective hotel account.
External Review Data: When you connect your Google Business Profile or TripAdvisor account, we retrieve and store your public reviews (reviewer name, star rating, review text, review date, and review URL) for AI analysis and dashboard display. Sustainability signals detected within reviews (e.g. linen reuse, plastic use, food waste) are also extracted and stored as structured tags.
AI-Generated Data: The Service produces AI-generated insights including sentiment analysis, category classification, key problem identification, recurring issue detection, suggested actions, drafted public replies, weekly executive reports, trend predictions, and sustainability performance scores. This data is stored on your hotel account and associated with the source reviews.
Enterprise Inquiry Data: When a prospect submits an enterprise inquiry form, we collect their name, email, company name, property count, and message. This data is used solely to respond to the inquiry and is accessible only to RIE administrators.
Payment Information: Payment processing is handled exclusively by Razorpay. We do not store raw payment card details on our servers. Razorpay processes your payment securely and transmits only a transaction confirmation back to us.
Usage Data: We may collect technical data such as IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps to maintain and improve the Service.
Cookies: We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. See Section 10 for full details.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data or your guests' data to third parties.
If you connect your Google account to RIE, we request read access to your Google Business Profile via Google's official OAuth 2.0 authorization flow (scope: business.manage). We use this connection solely to identify your business location and to securely retrieve your public Google reviews (reviewer name, star rating, review text, and review date) for the purpose of displaying them in your RIE dashboard and generating AI-powered insights.
Your Google OAuth refresh token is encrypted at rest, transmitted only over TLS-encrypted connections, and is never shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third party. It is used exclusively by our automated systems to refresh short-lived access tokens on your behalf when syncing reviews. You may disconnect your Google account at any time from Settings → Integrations, which immediately revokes and deletes the stored token.
RIE's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We share data only in the following circumstances:
We retain account and operational data for as long as your account is active. Guest data is retained indefinitely unless you delete it from your dashboard or request deletion. Google account tokens and imported review data are retained only while your Google connection remains active, and are deleted upon disconnection. On account termination, we will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security. Google Business data, including OAuth tokens, is stored and processed securely under these same safeguards. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
